DV Hydraulics designed and built a compact hydraulic power unit for the retrofit of three scissor lifts and an automatic chain tensioning system on an industrial drying oven.

The hydraulic installation was fully custom engineered as part of a modernization project aimed at replacing an ageing hydraulic system while improving reliability, safety and ease of maintenance.

By integrating a Parker PV Plus load sensing axial piston pump, independent motion speed control and extensive condition monitoring, a compact and high-performance solution was developed that integrates seamlessly into the existing machine.

Special attention was also given to long-term maintainability through the implementation of offline filtration, dedicated oil cooling and external leak detection, allowing inspections to be carried out without entering the safety zone.

Technical specifications of the installation:

• Parker PV Plus load sensing axial piston pump for energy-efficient operation.

• Electric drive with a 15 kW motor.

• Independent speed control for three scissor lifts and the chain tensioning system.

• Automatic pressure-controlled chain tensioning for consistent chain tension.

• Hydraulic accumulator system for pressure stabilization.

• Dedicated offline filtration, return filtration and pressure filtration for optimal oil cleanliness.

• Oil-to-air cooler for temperature control during operation.

• Electronic monitoring of oil level, oil temperature and filter condition.

• External leak detection on the single-acting cylinders, enabling inspections from outside the safety area.

• ISO 4401 valve interface technology ensuring component interchangeability and simplified maintenance.

• ATOS modular valves providing accurate hydraulic control.

• Compactly designed for integration into an existing industrial installation.

The hydraulic power unit was fully assembled and tested in our workshop, including functional testing, hydraulic tuning and a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).

Following delivery, the installation was commissioned on site by our service technicians.
