DV Hydraulics designed a robust hydraulic drive system for wagons, specifically tailored for the steel industry. This custom solution increases workplace safety by maximizing the distance between operators and the blast furnace.

The system consists of 4 chassis (2 on each side), with a total of 14 wheels (7 per side). Each wheel engages with a rail mounted on the side of the wagons to enable controlled movement.

Key specifications of the hydraulic wagon drive:

• 22 kN wheel contact force, resulting in 6.6 kN traction on wet steel

• Proportionally controlled speed: 0 to 0.2 m/s

• Torque per wheel: 1200 Nm

• Each chassis includes a differential to maintain traction even if one wheel slips.

• Built-in shock absorber protects cylinders from sudden impact

• Compact dimensions: 4030 x 475 x 650 mm (L x W x H) per chassis

• Supplied with full technical documentation.

• Proportional valves for precise control of speed and force

• Variable piston pumps for high-efficiency hydraulic power and pressure.

• Fire-safe installation in a separate room, using HFDU fluid for added protection
