DV Hydraulics designed, built, and installed a new hydraulic installation to breathe new life into an existing die cutting press.

This installation replaced the existing, outdated hydraulic system.

The new installation has the following specifications:

• Power-controlled axial piston pump: set at 220 Bar and 22 kW.

• Dual vane pump: capable of delivering 472 liters per minute up to 30 Bar together with the piston pump.

• Modular installation: The installation is composed of 3 pieces so that it could be brought in through the cellar door.

• Custom nickel-plated manifold: reduction of piping on the installation through the use of ISO 7368 cartridge valves.

• New piping: carried out in 60.3 x 6.3 mm with welded SAE flanges.

With this hydraulic installation, the 350-ton press closes in 1.5 seconds with a total installed power of 30 kW.

Between 2 press cycles, the electric motor speed decreases to 800 revolutions per minute to save energy and reduce noise.

Of course, this installation was also provided with all the necessary documents and was professionally installed by our technicians in collaboration with the customer.
