DV Hydraulics designed and built a powerful hydraulic system powered by a diesel engine, specifically for the overhaul and modernization of an existing scrap shear. This installation was implemented as a retrofit solution, replacing an outdated hydraulic unit to significantly improve the performance, reliability, and efficiency of the shear.

The new unit includes the following specifications:

• Installed power of 400 kW via a robust diesel engine

• Electronically adjustable pumps with a maximum flow rate of 1080 litres per minute

• Maximum operating pressure of 350 Bar for powerful and controlled movements

• Fully variable speed control for each motion, thanks to advanced pump regulation

• Plug & play installation at the customer’s site, including integration with the existing control system

• Solid industrial construction, built for long-term and intensive use

This scrap shear retrofit is the ideal way to revive older equipment with limited investment. The diesel-powered unit is also suitable for sites without access to fixed electrical infrastructure.
